The ITV soap’s David Platt actor has officially ditched the UK with his new wife Hanni as they celebrated becoming newlyweds

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has officially ditched the UK with his new wife Hanni as they celebrated being newlyweds.
The newly married couple have headed off on their honeymoon, having tied the knot on Saturday (July 26) in a stunning ceremony at Manchester Catherdral.
People waited outside to get a glimpse of proceeings, with Jack arriving at the cathedral in a red Mustang looking dapper in his off-white suit, sunglasses and bow-tie. alongside his son, and best man, Reuben, who was sporting matching attire.
Hanni later made her own big arrival, with the bride looking radiant in her dazzling gown, bosting a full skirt and long-sleeved off-the-shoulder top that was detailed with lace.
Her veil was held in place in front of her face with a stunning tiara, until after they said their vows, when they emerged from the cathedral to cheers as their guests threw celebratory confetti over them.
They were surrounded by loved ones, with Jack’s mum by his side as he made his entrance, and plenty of Jack’s Weatherfield co-stars, including Colson Smith and Ben Price, who also acted as groomsmen on the big day.

There was also a happy reunion for Jack’s fictional family, as actress Helen Worth was also in attendance. It was the first time the star had been seen publicly since she bowed out of Corrie at Christmas after playing soap icon Gail Platt for 50 years.
The party took place inside “hidden gem” Halle St Peters in Ancoats. Insiders have since described the venue as “mega” and even the venue said they’d “never seen it looking so fab”.
Now, as the dust settles on their spectacular nuptials, the new Mr and Mrs Shepherd have headed off for some time to themselves. Taking to Instagram on Monday (July 28), Hanni shared a picture of a plane sat on a runway as she wrote: “Some quality time with my husband.”

She tagged Jack in the post but didn’t reveal where they were heading on their honeymoon. But Jack has since given fans an insight into the holiday, with him having uploaded footage from the undiclosed location in his own social media post this afternoon.
Corrie’s David Platt star shared a video that showed a rugged but picturesque coastline as the waves crashed across the rocks.. The couple were stood on a wooden platform above the water, as Jack told his followers: “Little choppy today. A few broken plates.”
He panned the camera and captured Hanni, who appeared windswept, as she took in the view alongside him. After Jack’s comments, she quipped: “A little bit too much chop!”
The soap star then zoomed in on a cave and appeared to reference the film the Goonies. He said in the video message: “One-Eyed Willy’s cave – where all the gold’s kept.” Then showing a tower further down the coast, Jack said, laughing: “That’s my room up there. Where I’m staying.”

On Sunday evening (July 27), Hanni shared her first message alongside a string of photos from the special day, including their first kiss as husband and wife, on Instagram. “Introducing Mr & Mrs Shepherd,” she started.
“Words cannot describe how beautiful yesterday was for us – it was more than perfect. The love & energy in the room (and outside) was incredible – our hearts our truly full. Thank you so much to you all – it means the world to us.
“Love is all you need x It took a whole team – a team we couldn’t be happier with, thank you so much – we are literally in awe of how talented you all are.”
