The South Gloucestershire Council’s Champions Awards celebrated their resilience in overcoming challenges.
More than 100 attendees, including foster carers and council leaders, gathered for the event.
Nominations for the awards came from professionals and foster carers, and were reviewed by a panel of young people and council directors.
Awards were given in eight categories, with 32 individuals receiving Standout Awards for exceptional achievements.
Councillor Simon Johnson, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “I’m incredibly honoured to have been part of this year’s Champions Awards and to hear the truly inspirational stories shared by our children and young people.
“These awards are about so much more than recognition; they’re a powerful way of showing our young people that we value them and we believe in them.”
Standout award recipient, Shawney, who was recognised for her continuous help to others, said: “I enjoyed the night and saw lots of people, and loved how many were recognised for their achievements.”
