There are a number of activity centres across the region which are open through the school holidaysInside Cirq D Play(Image: Cirq D Play)
Planning activities to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays is never easy – and it can be especially hard to fill the days when it’s rainy and miserable outside. Luckily there are a number of soft play centres in and around Liverpool which offer the ideal destination for a rainy day this summer.
Many of the soft play centres are offering extended opening hours over the summer to accommodate the busier period for families in the region. Additional opening days and hours mean there are even more opportunities to book, with many venues requiring pre-booked tickets in order to attend.
Most soft play centres choose to price their tickets according to a child’s age, with tickets for older children costing slightly more, due to the wider range of activities they are able to enjoy. Babies under a certain age can sometimes enter for free, making it a more affordable option for families with more than one child.
We rounded up some of the soft play options in Merseyside as well as the most up to date information available about their summer opening hours and pricing structure.

Imagine That!, based in Wavertree Technology Park, provides entertainment for kids whether they want something exciting, hands-on, educational or simply colourful.
Families can call in for three-hour visits that grant access to four different zones. The first stop is to Imagination Village where kids can get behind the counter of their own shops, hair salons, theatres and news studios. The Construction Area boasts cranes, wheelbarrows and a giant conveyor belt to move bricks for little builders. Both of these areas are included as the first zone.
For the second zone, you’ll proceed to the “home of alternative art” with Art Beatz where you can get hands-on and creative. A spin bike will help create a unique masterpiece while a giant air graffiti screen produces a souvenir photo to take home or leave on the pin art exhibit. Kids can even paint a real-life car.

Last but not least is zone four, the Slime Factory, where you’ll once again get hands-on with some of the gooiest concoctions available.
