Last year, Kielty opened up about in an interview about the couple having to juggle their busy schedules.
“There was a moment after Christmas that was tricky,” he told the Times.
“She had to fly to Atlanta for seven weeks. There was a wee bit of a juggle there. But I think with all these things, as long as you have a routine, it doesn’t take as much fizz out of you as some people think.”
Kielty, who splits his time between the UK and Ireland, also said in the interview that he and This Morning host Cat were managing to still see eachother despite their hectic schedules.
“Because Cat’s doing her stuff in the morning, she would normally be back just after lunchtime. And we’ve got the start of the week and the weekends together, so it’s not ‘Hi/bye’,” he said.
It has been a tough year for Kielty whose mother died in March at the age of 84.

Mary Kielty, whose husband Jack was shot dead by the Ulster Freedom Fighters (UFF) during the Troubles in 1988, died peacefully at home in Dundrum, Co Down.
Mourners at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Dundrum heard that Mrs Kielty had had “a difficult life”, referring to the death of her husband.
“It left its impact not only on the close family and friends, but also on the wider community,” parish priest Robert Fleck said.
He said that Mrs Kielty took her three sons “everywhere” while their father worked with showbands and at dances. Her life changed when her husband was killed in 1988.
Patrick, who had presented an episode of RTÉ’s flagship TV programme The Late Late Show hours before her death, gave the second reading at her funeral mass.
