A sunflower trail is reopening this week in time for the school holidays.

With families on the lookout for ways to keep the kids entertained, Dunham Massey Ice Cream Farm is a popular spot with visitors of all ages.

The fields are in full bloom with rows of the towering stems and huge flowers with their brightly coloured petals.

There’s a pick your own section to enjoy, plenty of photo opportunities along the way and a scavenger hunt to keep the little ones busy.

But it’s not all about flowers here. The place has its own ice cream parlour, with a wide range of flavours including white chocolate and Oreo, Malteser, Caramac, custard cream and many more.

The cafe also sells hot food including toasties and pizzas, as well as hot a cold drinks.

Owner Rick Pennington said: “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the sunflower trail and wildflower meadow. Now in its fourth year, we see thousands of people from across the region making memories at this unique attraction. Don’t forget to treat yourself to an ice cream when you visit.”
