50 people were evacuated from the Palace Cinema in Brussels this afternoon after a bomb threat, according to reports.
Police lifted a cordon on the area at around 5pm local time, with screenings at the cinema resuming at around the same time.
“At around 14:00, the police told us that everyone in the building had to leave,” said Lysiane Menier, communications officer at the Palace cinema, told the Belga news agency.
“There were about fifty people. The police then searched the entire building with explosive detection dogs. After an hour or two, we were given permission to re-enter the building and resume our activities.”
