“I’ve got to know a lot of the family members. They are great people. They are really great people.”

He then continued, “And in that sense I think the UK is very lucky. You could have people that weren’t great people. I don’t know if I can say that, but you could have people that weren’t.”

The statement has already sparked buzz online, with social media users picking up on the apparent ‘jab’ at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, reports the Mirror US. One social media user noted, “I love the shade President Trump throws at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.” Another commented that Trump was “calling them out.”

The animosity between Trump and the Sussexes has been evident through previous incidents, with Harry apparently taking a veiled swipe at the US President this past February after Trump branded the Duchess of Sussex “terrible.”

During his address at the Invictus Games opening ceremony in Canada, Harry seized the moment to criticize “weak moral character in the world.”

Trump’s harsh assessment of Meghan emerged when questioned about Prince Harry‘s potential deportation following revelations of the Duke of Sussex’s past drug use, which he confessed to in his 2023 autobiography Spare.

During a media appearance, Trump declared, “I don’t want to do that. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

Trump has also stated on record that he is “not a fan” of Meghan, asserting that “Harry is whipped” and “is being led around by his nose.”
