A MAN’s house has been torched as children slept inside on the anniversary of the shotgun murder of his Trainspotting 2 star pal Bradley Welsh.
David McMillan‘s plush £1.15million pad was firebombed exactly six years on from the boxing gym owner’s fatal shooting as he dozed in Edinburgh’s Oxgangs.

The 54-year-old is close pals with caged capital coke baron Mark Richardson, 37, and has ties to the Daniel crime family which is under siege from rivals waging an escalating turf war.
It is the fifth home linked to the gang which has been set ablaze this week.
A source said: “Setting fire to a house with children inside is low.
“It’s only luck they weren’t killed.
“Kids and women as usually off-limits but these guys have no shame.”
Mr McMillan’s front door was soaked with accelerant by two hooded attackers who set it alight before fleeing around 1.45am.
Flames engulfed it and could be seen leaping up above the frame and across the front of the home.
It remained in place but badly charred this afternoon.
Meanwhile scorch marks were spotted on the entranceway and steps of another pad targeted in the city’s Prestonfield.
Cops are also probing a third strike in nearby Niddrie.
And it is understood thugs also targeted the home of a Richardson relative in Liberton in a fourth early-hours raid.

That took the tally of attacks on homes linked to the crime boss in the last week to six.
Of the raid at McMillan’s pad, a force spokesman said: “The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.
“It is being treated as wilful and inquiries are ongoing.”
Mr McMillan suffered a fractured skull and spent five days in hospital after three men burst into the property and hacked at him with a machete in six years ago.
Only weeks later close friend Mr Welsh, 48, was gunned down on his doorstep in Edinburgh’s New Town.
Hitman Sean Orman, 34, blasted the gym boss for just £10,000 and also carried out the blade assault on Mr McMillan.
He was caged for a 10 years for the machete attack and a minimum of 28 years for carrying out the execution after a 12-day trial at the capital’s High Court in May 2021.
Judge Lord Beckett told him he had carried out a “premeditated assassination” which was “cowardly and wicked”.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were made aware of a fire at a property on Pitcairn Grove in Edinburgh shortly after 2am on Thursday, April 17 2025.
“The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.
“It is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.”

Mr Welsh — a former Hibs football casual — played gangland boss Mr Doyle alongside Ewan McGregor and Robert Carlyle in the 2017 sequel to Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting.
His funeral at Edinburgh’s Mortonhall Crematorium was attended by around 1,000 people including the film’s writer and novelist Irvine Welsh, 66, who told how his “heart was broken” by the killing.
