A major Glasgow street has been taped off with police and ambulance services in attendance as eyewitnesses report ‘blood’ on the floor.

Sauchiehall Street has been taped off around Caffè Nero, with officers inside the coffee emporium.

An ambulance is also in attendance at the scene.

One person on the scene said they had seen a bloody handprint on the street.

Another eyewitness said that two groups of young people had gotten into a scuffle and one may have been stabbed or slashed in the arm.

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.

CID officers were later spotted at the scene as the cordon around the site of the incident was expanded.

Access to Sauchiehall Street from Bath Street was closed off by the officers, who were seen speaking to witnesses in the area.
