Manchester United supporters have hijacked RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko’s Instagram account as speculation builds as to his potential arrival at Old Trafford.
At the beginning of this week, MEN Sport reported that Sesko and Ollie Watkins were being considered as the two options to bolster United’s attack. The Aston Villa centre-forward was seen as the preferred option due to his experience in the Premier League but there was an admission that he could cost outside of United’s spending capacity.
However on Wednesday, it seems that momentum is building behind United bringing Sesko to Old Trafford as their priority. The Manchester Evening News understands United are progressing with a move for the forward.
Leipzig are believed to be wanting between £69m and £78m for Sesko which would be a considerable outlay for a player having already spent big on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. With the speculation building, United fans have taken to social media to plead with the 22-year-old to join.
Sesko has not posted since May but that has not stopped the Reds’ fanbase trying to sell the striker the dream. One wrote: “Sesko, Cunha, Mbeumo, Bruno [Fernandes], [Manuel] Ugarte, [Kobbie] Mainoo, [Mathijs] De Ligt, [Leny] Yoro. What a team this could be.”
Another added: “Come to United bro. It’s going to change your career.
A supporter also pleaded: “Old Trafford needs you bro.” Newcastle are believed to have shown interest and competition for Sesko recently after reports circulated that Alexander Isak wished to leave their club.

But, the Daily Mail understands that those inside Newcastle are starting to come to terms that the striker will move to United instead of to St James’ Park.
