Officers swooped in and arrested four suspects in Greater Manchester after shots were blasted at the garage

Four suspects were arrested in Manchester after a horror drive-by shooting at a garage left three men injured, police have confirmed.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the firearms discharge at the S Autos Garage on Bulay Road in Huddersfield on July 22. Three men were rushed to hospital following the incident at around 3pm where they remain to receive treatment.
A 30-year-old man received a foot injury, a 36-year-old was injured in a knee and a 20-year-old man, meanwhile, was injured in his arm and stomach after they were ‘struck by projectiles’. Their injuries are non-life-threatening.

West Yorkshire Police said the suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle with a major investigation launched to trace them. Investigations suggested a Nissan Juke, with false registration plates, was driven by the garage as the shots were fired.

The car had turned left from Nelson Street onto Bulay Road just before the shooting, and then made off, turning right onto Springdale Road and then onto Manchester Road, police said.
The vehicle was later located and seized outside the West Yorkshire area having been abandoned.

In an update, West Yorkshire Police confirmed four suspects, aged 18, 19, 20 and 21, were all arrested in the Greater Manchester area.
The 19 and 18-year-old were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder while the other two males were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.
Previously, Detective Chief inspector James Entwistle who is leading the enquiry, said: “I want to thank residents who have contacted us with information so far.
“We have had a strong response from communities who we know absolutely don’t want to see exceptionally serious offending near their homes.
“I also want to reassure residents that we are continuing to follow a number of lines of enquiry and have recovered the vehicle believed to have been used in the incident. We remain determined to bring to justice those who are responsible.
“We also want to encourage anyone who can assist us investigate this very serious offence who has not come forwards as yet, for whatever reason, to please do so.”
