Sheffield Wednesday are set to encounter more serious consequences of Dejphon Chansiri’s failing ownership.
The Owls have already witnessed several high-profile player exits, as Chansiri has consistently paid wages late.
Last season’s star players Josh Windass, Djeidi Gassama, and Michael Smith have all left South Yorkshire in recent weeks along with the likes of Akin Famewo and Callum Paterson.
Meanwhile, boss Danny Rohl has also left Sheffield Wednesday, with next season’s Championship fast approaching.

Chansiri failed to meet his wage obligations at Sheffield Wednesday in both May and June, while the Owls players are now set to encounter the same severe disappointment in July.
Meanwhile, BBC Radio Sheffield’s Andy Giddings revealed via X on Wednesday, 30 July: “Per sources, we understand communication has been made to Sheffield Wednesday players informing them that they will not be paid on time for their July wages.

Wednesday players cannot be blamed for boycott
Football Insider verdict
While Chansiri is on the brink of failing to pay his players on time for a third consecutive month, Sheffield Wednesday supporters could demand season ticket refunds amid the news that Hillsborough’s North Stand has been closed by Sheffield council amid safety concerns.
Wednesday players could boycott next month’s fixtures
The state of the Owls’ stadium is symbolic of how much Chansiri has neglected the South Yorkshire outfit in recent months.
Football finance expert and Sheffield Hallam University senior lecturer Dr Dan Plumley exclusively told Football Insider that Sheffield Wednesday are set for further exits.
Meanwhile, having seen the likes of Smith and Windass leave Hillsborough this summer, along with Rohl, the Owls’ squad cannot be blamed if they don’t fulfill their playing duties next month.
Chansiri should not expect his side’s players to show up when he has failed to pay their wages, and consequently heaped chaos upon the South Yorkshire outfit, who appear set for a relegation battle.
