Manchester United beat Bournemouth 4-1 to make it back-to-back wins on their pre-season tour.

Rasmus Hojlund put United ahead early on with a deft header before Patrick Dorgu doubled United’s lead.

Ruben Amorim waited until the 70-minute mark to make wholesale changes, and by that point United were 3-0 up after Amad’s effort found the bottom corner potentially via a slight deflection off Hojlund.

Ethan Williams was one of the players brought on with 20 minutes to play and the youngster made an immediate impact as he beat Will Dennis at his near post to make it 4-0. Matthijs de Ligt scored an own goal late on to deny United a clean sheet.

Here are how the players rated at Soldier Field:

Tom Heaton

Made a decent save at 2-0 on his first start of pre-season and an even better save at 3-0 to earn praise from teammates. 8

Leny Yoro

Assertive on the ball again and relishing the responsibility of supplementing the attack. His passing is improving. 7

Harry Maguire

Took a back seat as Yoro and Luke Shaw took the ‘glory’ but Maguire is getting one of the loudest cheers on United’s tour. Came off at half-time. 6

Luke Shaw

Made a couple of good recovery challenges. Went down injured after he was trod on but soldiered on and played for over an hour. 7

Diogo Dalot

Got forward plenty of times and also got an early earful from Hojlund for not keeping the ball in play. Created little. 6

Casemiro

An understated performance next to Bruno Fernandes in midfield. Held the fort while others did the attacking. 7

Bruno Fernandes

Bright as ever and connected well with Mason Mount as the United No.7 played as one of the two 10s. Played the ball slickly. 7

Patrick Dorgu

Crossed perfectly for Hojlund to put United 1-0 up and then scored himself after an alert charge into the final third. 8

Amad

Moved further forward and looks a more muscular forward. Retained the ball well under close attention. Seemed to have scored but it looked to have hit Hojlund. 7

Mason Mount

Showed quick-thinking with a quickly-taken free kick for Dorgu to score on a decent performance for the playmaker. 7

Rasmus Hojlund

Guided Dorgu’s header into the corner of the net in the fifth minute to get that elusive first goal of pre-season. Seemed to get a second from Amad’s shot. 8

Subs

Matthijs de Ligt

Deflected a David Brooks shot onto the crossbar and later deflected the ball into his own net. 6

Tyler Fredricson

Came on for 20 minutes. 6

Ayden Heaven

Came on for 20 minutes.

Bendito Mantato

Operated on the right wing. 6

Toby Collyer

Marshalled the midfield. 6

Manuel Ugarte

Bright glimpses again. 7

Diego Leon

Had little of the ball. 6

Ethan Williams

Scored within two minutes of coming on. 8

Kobbie Mainoo

Played further forward and embarked on a run. 7

Chido Obi

Went close after a nice bit of skill. 7
