Spain’s current account surplus widened to €6.44 billion in May 2025 from €6.40 billion in the same month of the previous year.
This marked the highest reading on record, driven by an increase in the goods and services surplus, which rose to €9.31 billion from €9.20 billion in May 2024.
In addition, the deficit in primary and secondary income narrowed to €2.88 billion from €2.80 billion.
