An Edinburgh-based family have teamed up with Britain’s largest family for a dream holiday in the US. The Walkers, who are from the Scottish capital, linked up with their good friends, 22 Kids and Counting’s the Radfords, last week to jet off to Walt Disney World in Florida to celebrate Sue Radford’s 50th birthday, and appear to be having the time of their lives.

Married couple Jamie and Rebecca are parents to nine children, following the heartbreaking loss of their daughter Sophie who sadly passed away from cancer last year. The pair also run a hostel in the city, which recently reopened after a devastating fire.

The Walkers are close pals with Sue and Noel Radford, stars of 22 Kids and Counting, both families are currently relishing a luxury holiday together – though it’s safe to say that the trip hasn’t been without its hiccups so far.

According to reports, Noel Radford found himself stranded at the airport with kids Millie, Chester and Ophelia due to an issue with their ESTA’s that couldn’t be sorted out in time for them to make their flight, Edinburgh Live reports.

This meant the four of them had to remain behind and catch the next flight the following day, eventually reuniting with the rest of the family.

Another four members of the Walker family also arrived later than the others and ended up spending the night at the Wetherspoon pub at Gatwick Airport as they had not booked a hotel in London prior to their departure.

Both families have been keeping their Facebook followers in the loop with regular updates and photos, including snaps of the luxurious villa they’re staying in, complete with its own cinema room.

Captioning pictures of their stunning villa’s home cinema, the family have expressed their gratitude online.

They captioned one snap: “This villa is amazing. thank you The Radford family for this amazing holiday, forever grateful.”

The family have also posted snaps from their visit to Blue Spring State National Park, a favourite spot in Florida.

During an interview with the Mirror in January, Sue Radford unveiled her big plans for a grand 50th birthday.

It’s understood that her eleven grandchildren, along with her children’s partners, are also in attendance for the milestone celebration.

With so many of them, their trip is sure to have cost them a small fortune with the cheapest long week deals starting at over £600 per adult.

However, Sue remained tight lipped about how the holiday was being paid in her interview.

She disclosed instead: “We are going to do a big 50th holiday with all the kids and the grandkids, to Disney. We will go in the Easter break.

“The kids all love it and the grandkids do too.”
