Oasis fans heading to Edinburgh for the band’s next big series of shows have been given a big update in terms of what to expect.
Liam and Noel Gallagher are currently halfway through their run of gigs at London’s Wembley Stadium with two more shows to go at the weekend. They will return to London towards the end of September for two extra dates.
But after London, all eyes will be on Edinburgh – where there is just a week to go now until the band head to the Scottish capital. They will play three shows next Friday and Saturday (August 8 and 9) as well as a third gig on Tuesday, August 12.
The three shows at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield venue will be attended by around 210,000 fans from all over the week and not just Scotland.

As with the rest of the locations for the Live ‘25 shows so far, the city of Edinburgh is gearing up for a busy week and a half – and is putting measures in place to help fans easily make their way around.

Edinburgh Council has said that planning for the events has been ‘underway for some time now’ and will see key areas of the Murrayfield area tidied up, with extra litter collectors at the nearby Roseburn Park.
There will be extra public transport services in operation, including more buses, trains and trams, to accommodate the big number of concertgoers for the Oasis shows – and these will remain in operation for a number of other summer events, including the AC/DC show on August 21, as well as the Summer Sessions gigs from Sam Fender (August 22) and Chappell Roan (August 26 and 27).
But visitors have also been asked to be ‘considerate and respectful’ of the area, whilst those without tickets have been advised to not travel into the Murrayfield and surrounding areas during the Scotland shows.
“Excitement is building in Edinburgh for Oasis Live 25 as it’s our turn to witness rock history,” City of Edinburgh Council Leader Cllr Jane Meagher said of the Oasis shows.

“With all of our partners in the city we’ve been planning for this for some time to make sure we’re ready to welcome thousands of Oasis fans over three nights. There will be extra trains, trams, and buses to accommodate concert goers, along with those attending our summer festivals. With this in mind we urge you to plan ahead.
“We are keen for everyone to have an enjoyable experience, not only at the show, but on their way before and after. Whilst we relish hosting the biggest and best events and want everyone attending to truly enjoy themselves, it’s important that we remember our residents.
“We ask that visitors are considerate and respectful of them whilst enjoying our fantastic capital city. We’re urging people to only travel to Murrayfield and the surrounding area if you have a ticket.”
Following their shows in Edinburgh, Oasis will head to Dublin before kicking off their North American string of dates. They will then make their way towards big shows in Asia and Australia.
