Everton FC players brightened the days of families at Claire House Children’s Hospice Liverpool just in time for Easter. Handing out Easter gifts, first team players Jake O’Brien and Armando Broja spent time with some of the babies, children and young adults the charity supports.

During the heart-warming visit to the hospice’s West Derby site, the footballers chatted with families about the difference the hospice makes to seriously and terminally ill children across Merseyside, Cheshire, and North Wales.

Striker Armando Broja, said: “To see everyone together, spreading positivity is the most important thing, that is what the club is about. It was a really good feeling to meet the children and families to bring them some enjoyment and smiles.”

The teammates brought smiles and laughter, posing for photographs and signing autographs for the young Evertonians.

Defender Jake O’Brien, said: “It’s important that, as footballers, we meet the community and put a smile on their faces.

“All the babies, children and young adults attending loved meeting the players, getting the chance to talk with them and take pictures.
