Ben Middlemass.
Police in the Highlands have shared an appeal for help tracing a missing man who vanished in the early hours of Friday morning.
The family of Ben Middlemass (26) are growing “increasingly concerned” since his disappearance at around 2am.
He was last seen in the Widdrington area of Northumberland, but has links to Scotland and has been known to go camping. Widdrington is also not far from a railway station on the East Coast Mainline.
Issuing an appeal to Highlanders on behalf of Northumbrian Police, local officers said: “Extensive enquiries have been ongoing by officers to find him. Police and Ben’s family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.”
Ben is 6ft tall of a slim build with dark brown hair that is short on the sides and long on top. He was last seen wearing shorts and a t-shirt and may be carrying a backpack and second bag.
“Ben, or anyone who may know where might be, should send Northumbria Police a direct message on social media or use the live chat or report forms on the force website,” added police.
“For those unable to make contact via those ways, call 101. Please quote reference number: NP-20250801-0083.”
