Leeds United News have the latest exclusive information on a target to bolster their attacking ranks.
The reality is, Leeds United need to focus more on attacking signings, given the vast majority of additions so far are defensive players or defensive-minded in their respective positions in the team.
We revealed Leeds want six signings earlier in the window, and Anton Stach and Lucas Perri have helped since by filling two of those areas, meaning Leeds have four players left to bring in before the deadline.
One player that is on their radar has since emerged in recent days, with reports stating Nottingham Forest’s versatile Jota Silva is a target for Leeds.

The same report claims Silva is valued at €15 million (£13 million) but also that he is attracting significant attention from other parts of Europe after a bit-part role for Forest last term.
The 26-year-old Portuguese international is also a target of Portuguese giants Sporting CP. That interest comes just one season after his arrival to the English top flight via Vitoria de Guimaraes.
Leeds United News spoke exclusively to our transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey for the latest information on the versatile forward, who can operate on either flank or as a central attacking midfielder.
He said: “Sporting Lisbon have agreed terms to an extent, but they wouldn’t agree on whether the loan includes an option or an obligation.

“Our information is that Forest actually wanted an obligation of around £10 million. However, I think Leeds will do very well to persuade him not to go to Sporting.
“In fact, I suspect they might have been offered him, or Leeds are being used to get a deal done.”

Leeds need a winger and a more attack-minded midfielder in an ideal world, giving them numerous options for different game states, match scenarios, and opposition; that is why Silva is an intriguing player.
Jota Silva’s professional career stats (all comps)
Last season, in the 2024/2025 Premier League campaign with Nottingham Forest, Silva featured in 31 matches, with five starts and 26 substitute appearances.
Across a meagre 840 minutes, he registered three league goals and one assist. However, that was enough to catch the eye given the limited minutes and him showcasing his capacity to impact games even from the bench.
He should be featuring more regularly than he is, albeit this one is not a player that looks particularly likely from a Leeds point of view at the present time.
