They were treated to a selection of canapes created by head chef and double AA rosette winner Simon Jewitt. They also enjoyed live music performed by Northern House Band.

CrowdedHouse will now be open daily from 10am till late. It is able to host up to 500 guests and can cater for private hires and events.

It has taken over the site previously occupied by Angelica & Crafthouse, part of the D&D London group.

John Quinlan, founder of CrowdedHouse said the venue’s launch had been a “great success”. He added: “It’s a true cultural moment for Leeds – we’re proud to bring something new and unique to the city.”
