Bad Boy Chiller Crew (BBCC) shot to fame in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic with the release of “450” in July of that year.
The trio – comprised of Kane Welsh, ‘Clive’, whose real name is Sam Robinson, and Gareth Kelly, better known as ‘GK’ – brought bassline back to the masses, with wobbly tracks supplemented by carefree lyrics about their antics, which they would often showcase in videos on social media.
BBCC’s meteoric rise continued for several years, with nearly 1.5 million listeners on Spotify at one point and they were nominated for a BRIT Award in the Best Group category in 2023.

They have released three albums, with “Disrespectful” – the follow-up to their debut album “Full Wack No Breaks” – reaching number two in UK charts, as well as several unique collabs such as “George Best” with Tom Zanetti and “Jurgen Kropper” with Local.
But BBCC’s rapid ascent seemingly came to a halt just under two years ago, with “Influential” the last “official” album the group released, in November 2023.

The group continued to appear on social media and a single titled “Marky B, Connor John, Jinthai Diss Track”, released in January 2024, is still live on Spotify.
MORE ON BBCC:
But now “the boys are back”, according to a video released by BBCC on their Instagram page yesterday.
GK fronts the video and explains what has been happening with the BBCC over the past two years.
Funny man Clive is seen in the footage with duct tape over his mouth and handcuffs on, but as GK says, “we can release music again”, Kane removes the mouth covering and says, “yeah, you better start speaking up you.”
Clive responds in his usual loud and playful fashion, saying: “Y’alright mush, we’re independent charva.”
The boys then celebrate by setting off confetti cannons before a backing track is played, which seems to be a new song from BBCC.

GK posted in jest in the comments and said: “I’m still trying to learn how to rap.”
BBCC have seemingly removed posts from the last few years on their profiles on X and Instagram.
Their latest post on X is now from September 2022, while the new video is the trio’s only post on Instagram at the time of writing.
