Leeds United may have hinted at Roma striker Artem Dovbyk being their priority in the final weeks of the transfer window.
The Whites are looking for a new number nine before the end of August, with Mateo Joseph telling Daniel Farke he wants to leave.
Dovbyk is being eyed at Elland Road, with the Serie A outfit looking to get £30million from his sale.
The 36-cap Ukraine international could potentially be the perfect addition to the West Yorkshire outfit’s squad as they get ready for the Premier League.

Leeds have strengthened their squad with some physical specimens like Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Anton Stach.
Lukas Nmecha and Gabriel Gudmundsson are also relatively tall for the positions they play in, and that aspect was one thing the Whites focused on during recruitment, according to the Daily Mail.
A source from the West Yorkshire outfit told the news outlet (3 August) that Farke’s squad lacked physicality, which they have looked to address at Elland Road.
It’s also been claimed that the Peacocks are in the market for a first-choice striker, and it makes sense why Dovbyk is being linked with a move this summer.

Dovbyk undoubtedly fits the bill at Leeds, standing at 6’2″ and boasting impressive mobility for a player of his stature.
The 28-year-old is in the prime age of his career and has shown his prolificacy at the top leagues over the last two seasons.
In the 2023/24 season, the centre-forward won the Pichichi trophy after leading the goalscoring charts for Griona in LaLiga.

Dovbyk was a key player for Roma in the previous campaign, and it remains to be seen whether the Serie A outfit will sell him.
The Ukraine international’s finishing and heading ability arguably make him someone the Whites should prioritise.
With a strong striker like the 28-year-old up front, Farke can play more direct football on occasion, which will definitely come in handy in the Premier League.
