While Storm Floris is expected to hit most areas in Greater Manchester, Stockport may miss the brunt of the unseasonable weather.

The Met Office appears to have not set any weather warnings in place for Stockport on Monday, while Manchester, Salford, Tameside, Trafford, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Wigan all currently have alerts in place. Yellow warnings indicate that weather could cause some low level impacts, including some disruption to travel.

Stockport is expected to see “light rain” over the course of Monday with “sunny intervals” in the afternoon, according to the Met Office.

In comparison, the Met Office has enforced a yellow weather warning for all other Greater Manchester boroughs on Monday, with potential for areas to see a 95 % chance of rainfall.

Strong winds are also expected for parts of Greater Manchester with some areas potentially gusts nearing up to to 50 mph.
