Two men sustained serious injuries following a collision involving a taxi and a Volkswagen Golf in Icknield Street, at its junction with Hingeston Street, Soho, Birmingham

The incident was reported at around 3am on Saturday, and the man, the driver of the taxi, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

A second man, the driver of the Volkswagen Golf, was taken to the hospital with injuries that could be life-changing. Another man, who was also in the Volkswagen, was taken to the hospital with injuries that aren’t believed to be life-threatening. 

West Midlands Police are now appealing for the driver of a grey Volkswagen, registration ending in DUA, who may have witnessed the collision, to come forward to speak to them.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We would like to speak to any other witnesses or anyone who may have any information, including dashcam footage, to please contact us by ringing 101, quoting log number 507 of 2 August.
