TicTac Convenience Store in Kings Heath, Birmingham, has been handed a three-month closure order after officers were contacted by several residents regarding anti-social behaviour and crime.

In a joint operation with the Trading Standards team, West Midlands Police were granted the three-month closure order, meaning that anyone who goes in there is at risk of being fined, arrested, and even sent to prison.

The order will last until midnight on October 29.

Inspector Neil Kirkpatrick, from Birmingham Police, said: “We received numerous complaints about this store, and we worked with partners including Trading Standards to take decisive action.

“The order will hopefully provide relief to the community and help serve as a deterrent to any other businesses which may be involved in criminality.

“PC Batchelor, along with the Moseley and Kings Heath Neighbourhood Team, have been committed to securing this outcome for the community they serve, which is an example of the importance of neighbourhood policing.”
