Exploring truth and human connection
Truth in Person, by Father Luke Bell OSB, reflects on how modern life increasingly relies on technology for information and procedures.

It considers the growing longing for human connection in a world where people are often hidden behind screens.

The book puts forward the idea that truth can only be approached through persons, and that it goes beyond what can be reached through rational analysis alone.

Poetry inspired by life in motion
Flyweight, by Maggie Sawkins, is a poetry collection brimming with the “taut kinetic energy of bodies in extremis”.

The poems draw on the writer’s interests and experiences, with themes including female boxing, sibling rivalry and the wider question of what it means to be human.

In the words of Johnny Cash, quoted in the collection, “My arms are too short to fight with God.”
