Two lanes of the M5 were shut between junction 4a (M42) and junction 5 (Droitwich) of the M5 at 8.30am this morning following a crash involving a lorry and two cars.
The incident was quickly cleared, but traffic had already built up for several miles.
A spokesperson for National Highways said: “All lanes have now reopened on the M5 southbound.
“An hour and a half delay with seven miles of congestion remains in the area, but should now start to ease.”
