SHEFFIELD hand a debut to new signing Nick Morris when they visit bottom club Birmingham in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership tonight (Monday).
The Tigers have brought in Morris and Jye Etheridge as they look to give their title challenge a boost, but Etheridge misses the trip to Perry Barr after a crash at Scunthorpe last Friday.
Youngster Will Cairns guests at No.6 for the visitors, who were emphatic 57-33 winners on their previous visit to the Second City.
The Brummies track what has become their regular line-up, but they currently trail Oxford by five points in the battle to avoid the wooden spoon, with six matches remaining.
Sheffield promoter Damien Bates said: “Our season starts again from here in a way.
“August is a very busy month fixture-wise, and whilst we still need a few more points to mathematically guarantee our play-off position, we know we’re very close to that now.
“As always, we’d want to be going into September and the play-offs on a good run of results and hopefully we can start that off at Birmingham.”
Brummies boss Chris Adams said: “I suppose by now it’s all a little déjà vu with our results, and it’s quite obvious that we are lacking that third heat-leader.
“We need more race winners on Monday to win the meeting and I know our guys will do their best.”
