Wrexham continue to chase attacking additions and will have one eye on Birmingham City’s chase of Ajax forward Chuba Akpom.
Phil Parkinson wanted to land a new centre-back and brought in an experienced performer on Friday.
Conor Coady completed a £2million move to Wrexham, with the former England central defender arriving from Leicester City.
Coady became Wrexham’s seventh signing of the summer window, and Parkinson wants more deals over the line this week.
The attention may shift back to attacking additions, even after Wrexham snapped up both Ryan Hardie and Josh Windass.
Kieffer Moore is set to join Wrexham, and more attacking quality could arrive at the STōK Cae Ras.

Wrexham are far from alone in the hunt for attacking signings, with other Championship rivals making big moves.
Ajax forward Chuba Akpom has found himself out of favour in Amsterdam, but also at the centre of a tug-of-war in the Championship.
Middlesbrough attempted to hijack Birmingham City’s move for Akpom, as noted by The Northern Echo, but seemingly couldn’t convince him to make a return to the North East.
The Blues may have fended off Boro, but Tom Brady’s men look set to miss out on Akpom anyway.
Sky Sports claim that Ipswich Town have now pounced to agree a deal with Ajax, which will see the Tractor Boys take Akpom on loan and then pay £7million to sign him permanently if Kieran McKenna clinches promotion.
Anthony Joseph of Sky Sports also adds that Akpom has travelled for a medical with Ipswich, the Blues appear to have been hijacked.
The former Arsenal talent is a major addition for Ipswich, having hit 28 goals in 38 Championship games for Boro during the 2022-23 season.
Akpom even managed 23 goals in 71 games for Ajax, before a loan spell with Lille earlier this year.
The 29-year-old will now be in line to play twice against Wrexham this season, but his move to Ipswich could provide a boost for Parkinson.
Chuba Akpom could help Wrexham land Nathan Broadhead
Ipswich’s pursuit of Akpom comes as Wrexham attempt to prise Nathan Broadhead away from the Tractor Boys.
Wrexham allegedly ‘thrashed out’ a deal for Broadhead last week, with a £7.5million move in the pipeline.
Wrexham are confident of landing Broadhead, but there has been little progress in recent days.
Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna admitted Wrexham’s interest, but stopped short of saying that a deal would go through.
McKenna may not want to lose Broadhead without having more attacking quality in his ranks.
Akpom may be viewed as a player who can move around and play in different attacking positions, just like Broadhead.
Akpom can play as a striker, number 10 and has even played as a left winger before, so there are certain parallels to Broadhead.
Wrexham will certainly hope that Akpom’s imminent move to Suffolk will help pave the way for Broadhead to complete his move to the STōK Cae Ras, with Parkinson no doubt keeping close tabs on the situation.
