Germany has deployed Eurofighter jets to Poland just weeks ahead of Russia and Belarus launching their joint military exercises “Zapad-2025,” Bild reported on August 4.
“Eurofighters of the German Air Force will begin operating from the military airfield in Mińsk Mazowiecki starting tomorrow for the first time,” a spokesperson for the German Air Force told Bild.
She emphasized that the deployment is “a clear sign of NATO solidarity” and aims to ensure “reliable deterrence and protection of shared airspace.”
According to Bild, five Eurofighter jets from Germany’s 31st Tactical Air Squadron arrived at an airbase east of Warsaw on August 4. Their first operational flights are scheduled for Tuesday, August 5.

The directive, titled “Priorities for Strengthening Readiness,” lays out a roadmap for reaching full operational capability, leveraging the additional funding unlocked after the constitutional debt brake was eased in March.
