Prince Harry had much success with his memoir Spare when it was first released in 2023, however it seems that this may now be slowly dwindling. Despite being named the fastest-selling book in history after it was released over two years ago, it seems that the book’s success may have run its course.

This is because Spare has not made it on The Top 100 Sunday Times Bestsellers list, even though another royal book has. While Harry’s memoir failed to grab a top spot, the same cannot be said for a book related to his mother the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

This is because Andrew Morton’s book, Diana: Her True Story – In Her Own Words, which was written with input from the late princess, made it on the list.

With Spare not ranking in the top 100, Harry is likely to feel a bit down by the news, which comes just weeks after it was rumoured the duke – who quit royal life in 2020 – will also be losing the Netflix deal he had with his wife Meghan Markle, 44.

This five-year-deal, which was signed in 2020, is not set to be renewed by Netflix, which is likely to be a big cut to the couple’s income.

This is not something the prince, Meghan or Netflix have publicly discussed.

While Harry’s book may no longer be making it in the charts, the duke is likely to still feel glad about writing his memoir, which is believed to have earned the prince around £22million ($27million).

It is not known whether the duke will put pen to paper again and release another book, with many believing it could be on the cards one day.

This is because Harry once suggested that he cut a lot of content out of the 2023 memoir.

There are also questions as to whether Meghan Markle would release her own book detailing her and Prince Harry’s experiences, with the duchess addressing this during a podcast interview with Hollywood friend Jamie Kern Lima in April.

When talking about whether she would write a memoir, Meghan said: “I’ve got a lot more life to live before I’m there.”
