Leeds United need to sign a striker this summer, and are keen on a high-profile addition in Artem Dovbyk.
The Ukrainian forward joined Roma from Girona last year, but could already be on the move again this summer, and Leeds are one of several clubs interested in his signature.
The 28-year-old would certainly be a statement signing, and he would arrive as a proven goalscorer in several different countries as he ventures into the Premier League.
However, Leeds’ lack of European football could hold them back, as another club have now entered the race to sign Dovbyk.

La Liga side Villarreal have qualified for the UEFA Champions League, and could use this status to beat Leeds to Dovbyk.
AS (August 5) have now reported that Villarreal have made an approach to sign Dovbyk on loan, but Roma want a permanent deal for around £26million.
The interest from the Yellow Submarine in Dovbyk is strong, as they lost striker Thierno Barry to Everton.
- Dovbyk is an established centre-forward who would bring physicality and a goal threat to the Leeds front line.
- Leeds have also been linked with Rodrigo Muniz as Daniel Farke seeks out a striker.
Dovbyk finished as the joint-top scorer in La Liga alongside Jude Bellingham before he joined Roma, and Farke now faces a battle to convince Dovbyk to reject European football and a return to Spain.
Leeds need a new centre-forward quickly
With the season starting soon, Leeds are yet to strengthen their centre-forward options, and this is a must before the window closes.
Joel Piroe has impressed in pre-season, but Leeds are still short of top-flight proven options as well as numbers.
Mateo Joseph and Patrick Bamford could both leave, and at least one forward is needed to give Leeds the best chance of staying up.
Dovbyk would be a superb addition, having scored 17 goals with Roma last season, but if he ends up choosing Villarreal, then Leeds would have to find an alternative target, such as Muniz.
