Wycombe Wanderers have won the race for Bristol Rovers defender Connor Taylor.

The 23-year-old is expected to have a medical with the League One club on Tuesday before completing a move worth more than £500,000.

Rovers had rejected several bids from Peterborough United for the centre-back but he is now expected to move to Adams Park.

Taylor joined Rovers from Stoke permanently in 2023, having previously been on loan in 2021-22, and has made 136 appearances – scoring six times – for the club.

He impressed despite Rovers’ relegation to League Two last season but was left out of the squad for Saturday’s opening-day 1-0 defeat by Harrogate.
