Manchester United could be handed a financial boost thanks to former academy graduate Mason Greenwood.
The former United forward completed a permanent move to French side Marseille last summer for a fee of £26.5 million. He caught the eye with his performances in his first season with the Ligue 1 club, scoring 22 goals and providing six assists in 36 games.
That has led to speculation over his future with clubs linked with an interest in the 23-year-old. That is only likely to increase with Marseille completing the signing of former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last week.
Greenwood’s future will be one that United will be keeping a close eye on. TalkSPORT report that Saudi side Al Nassr have made an approach to Marseille for the player, but the French club made it clear that they do not want to sell.

The report adds that Al Nassr would need to make an offer above £85 million to enter conversations this summer. Any move to Al Nassr would see a reunion with former United man Cristiano Ronaldo for Greenwood.
Those sort of figures would also provide a big financial income for United. The club included a 50 percent sell-on clause into the deal.
That means, if Marselle do cash in for the £85 million figure mentioned, then United would be entitled to half of that fee. United would therefore earn and extra £42.5 million from the transfer.
If added to the original transfer fee that United earned last summer, it means that the club will have got a total fee of £69 million for the forward. That extra income will be a big boost to United ahead of the final weeks of the summer transfer window.
