With the warmer weather, many of us will be looking for outdoor activities to keep children entertained during the summer holidays. Fortunately, Calderstones Park has its own unlimited ride funfair with a beach. The family funfair is back for its eleventh year, adding new rides and an even bigger beach area for families to enjoy.

Visitors can choose between unlimited ride wristbands (£19.99) or pay £1 to enter and pay per ride (£3). The entry fee includes access to the beach and deck chair zone, toilets and baby changing facilities.

There’s no need to book, as visitors can turn up on the day and purchase tokens for the rides they’d like to enjoy.

The funfair offers weekly SEN sessions, which will be held on Wednesdays from 4-6pm. It is recommended to book these sessions in advance.

Set in the grounds of Calderstones Park, which has beautiful Japanese gardens and a thousand-year-old oak tree on its sprawling 94 acres, the fair will run through the summer holidays.

Once visitors are finished at the fair, the Linda McCartney playground is open within the grounds and has slides, swings climbing frames and more. An adjacent wooded play area has a larger climbing frame, spinner and balance beams.

The Reader Café is located inside the Mansion House, offering a delicious selection of sandwiches, snacks, breakfasts and other lunch items. If you’re after a sweet treat, the Ice Cream Parlour has refreshments on offer.
