Manchester United are pushing for one more attacking signing this summer, but also need to consider goalkeeping additions.

Manchester United’s goalkeeping situation is a little unclear heading into the new season.

Ruben Amorim is backing Andre Onana to improve this season, having struggled in his first two campaigns at Old Trafford.

The Cameroonian is injured at the moment, which may mean Altay Bayindir steps into starting action early in the season.

Altay was expected to leave United this summer, but he may now need to stay and fill in for Onana.

Tom Heaton signed a new deal, but Radek Vitek has joined Bristol City on loan, and Hubert Graczyk was released after just one year at Old Trafford.

United will have targets in mind in case Altay does move on, but appear to be focusing on replacing Graczyk for now.

The Polish stopper joined United after leaving Arsenal last summer, but spent just one year with the club.

United are looking for a new goalkeeper to come in and play for the Under-21s, filling Graczyk’s role from last season.

The Manchester Evening News are now reporting that United are considering a deal for free agent goalkeeper Abdulla Al-Hammadi.

Al-Hammadi is currently on trial with United and was on the bench against Rochdale in a friendly over the weekend.

Cameron Byrne-Hughes started in goal for United, with Al-Hammadi simply billed as ‘trialist’ on the team sheet.

United are weighing up a deal for Al-Hammadi, with the goalkeeper looking to impress during his time in Manchester.

Everton looked at Abdulla Al-Hammadi

Al-Hammadi hails from the United Arab Emirates and was previously on the books of Al Wasl, who play in the UAE Pro League.

The 20-year-old is now looking for a chance in English football and has previously spent time with Everton.

Al-Hammadi joined the Toffees on trial in March and started in an Under-21 game against Bolton Wanderers.

Despite keeping a clean sheet at Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium, Al-Hammadi failed to earn a contract with the Toffees.

United are now taking a look at Al-Hammadi, and he will hope for better fortunes than he had with Everton earlier this year.
