After losing to Portugal, Spain closed the preparation tournament in Malaga by beating the Czech Republic 87-73

The hosts bounced back and managed to have things under control for most of the game, with Josep Puerto having probably his best game with the national team, finishing the night with 15 points on 5/8 threes.

His shots made the difference in the second half when the game was decided, as the Czechs were trailing by nine (40-31) at halftime.

Willy Hermangomez with 10 points and seven rebounds had a solid game, while Xabi Lopez-Arostegui added 13 points and four rebounds.

Jaromir Bohacik with 11 points was the top scorer of the losing side, which didn’t have Tomas Satoransky available, while NBAer Vit Krejci added six points and five rebounds.

Both teams will face a challenge in the upcoming Eurobasket 2025, with Spain being part of Group C and the Czechs competing in Group A.
