Leeds United take on AC Milan at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday afternoon to end their pre-season campaign.

Daniel Farke has tried to integrate his new signings over the past few weeks and will hope for a positive showing against a formidable Italian side.

The Whites will have a nine-day break after this game before they take on Everton on 18 August at Elland Road.

Leeds held Villarreal to a 1-1 draw in the last game, with Joel Piroe scoring the only goal for them.

He came off the bench for that one and has done enough to justify a start in this one.

Lukas Nmecha led the line in that contest, but he’s just as capable of playing on the left wing, so he’s likely to move there, with Brenden Aaronson dropping to the bench.

Anton Stach played more of a number 10 role against Villarreal, but it won’t come as any surprise if Farke asks him to stay deep and form a midfield three.

Pascal Struijk, who was signed under Marcelo Bielsa, started against the La Liga side, but this could be a game where Jaka Bijol gets the nod as he’s likely to be the preferred centre-back partner for Joe Rodon when the season begins.

The third change will be in goal with Illan Meslier coming in for Karl Darlow.

Leeds United predicted XI v AC MilanLeeds United need a spirited performance against AC Milan

Leeds United face a formidable challenge against AC Milan in their pre-season friendly, necessitating a spirited performance to build momentum for the Premier League.

Farke will rely on midfield trio Stach, Ampadu and Longstaff to dominate possession and disrupt Milan’s rhythm, leveraging Stach’s physicality, Ampadu’s tenacity and Longstaff’s experience.

Meanwhile, the centre-back pairing of Bijol and Rodon must be resolute to counter Milan’s attacking threats.

A strong showing from this defensive duo will provide stability, allowing Leeds to test their mettle against elite opposition and fine-tune their tactical cohesion.
