The cycling market continues to watch as signings for the upcoming 2026 season continue to be confirmed. In Uno-X Mobility‘s goal to continue growing as a team and dreaming of a future World Tour license, the Norwegian squad wants to add more victories as much as possible. To this end, it has officially announced the arrival of classicist Sven Erik Bystrom from Groupama – FDJ.
Bystrom has more than a decade of experience in the World Tour, when he made the jump in 2014 with Team Kathusa in the same year in which he became U23 world champion. In that stretch of his career he rode for top teams such as UAE Team Emirates – XRG or Intermarché – Wanty.
In the official announcement of his signing, Sven Erik Bystrom reveals what it means to him to sign for the best team in his country:
“It’s no exaggeration to say that I’m really looking forward to joining Uno-X for the next two years. It’s like coming home, as I know most of the riders and staff. I’ve been very impressed with the progress the team has made and I think it’s the best step to further develop my career. I may bring some experience to the team, but more importantly, I think I can learn a lot from being part of this environment and continue to improve as a cyclist,” he began.

Uno-X management delighted
A statement from Uno-X Mobility’s head office on the signing was also expected. It was none other than CEO Thor Hushovd who commented on it:
“Sven Erik is a strong and versatile cyclist who adapts to most racing scenarios. We see him as a classic road captain, someone who will bring 13 years of experience to a young UNO-X team. He is smart, consistent and knows exactly what it takes to perform at his best.”
“His experience will be a great asset to our younger riders. Having someone like Sven Erik on the team gives them a clear point of reference, someone who knows what it takes to perform at the highest level, both on and off the bike,” he said.
