A man was left ‘poleaxed’ after a brawl erupted in Edinburgh’s West End, with the melee dragging on for ‘around half an hour’.
The clash took place at about 6pm on Shandwick Place, leading to emergency services rushing to the scene. Reports indicate that four police cars and an ambulance attended the incident.
Details regarding the condition of those involved have not been disclosed. A photograph captured at the location depicts two men—one apparently restraining the other—as bystanders and their dogs look on near a Sainsbury’s.
Eyewitness Jamie Gordon said: “Fight at Shandwick Place a few hours ago, went on for around half an hour.
“Four police cars and an ambulance came about 20 minutes later.”, reports Edinburgh Live.
Enquiries have been made to Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service for further information.
