US President Donald Trump warned in a Truth Social post that while tariffs are having “a huge positive impact” on the stock market and “almost every day, new records are set,” if the courts try to halt the import taxes, it could push the country towards ‘Great Depression’.

He wrote that “hundreds of billions of dollars are pouring into our country’s coffers” and warned that a court ruling against the tariffs “at this late date” could cause the “largest amount of money, wealth creation and influence the USA has ever seen” to be lost.

“If they were going to rule against the wealth, strength, and power of America, they should have done so long ago, at the beginning of the case,” Trump wrote. He said that if such a ruling came now, “it would be 1929 all over again, a Great Depression,” and claimed the country “could never recover” from such a decision.Trump added, “Our country deserves success and greatness, not turmoil, failure, and disgrace. God bless America.”
