Top Industry Experts to Share Sustainable Strategies at The Green Estate

Businesses from across Yorkshire and the Humber are being invited to attend an inspiring one-day masterclass aimed at helping them become more sustainable, adaptable, and future-ready.

The Growing Green & Resilient Businesses Masterclass will take place on Thursday, 4 September at The Green Estate, a unique heritage venue located at Manor Oaks House in Sheffield. Running from 9 am to 4:30 pm, the event promises to equip business leaders with practical tools, expert insight, and the inspiration to lead in a rapidly changing world.

A Full Day of Insight, Learning and Connection

Organised by The Green Estate CIC, Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, and the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission, with support from UKRI’s Policy Innovation Partnership, the masterclass is designed to spark innovation and action across the region’s business community.

Tickets are priced at £35 per person, with a ‘pay it forward’ option of £70 available for businesses wishing to support wider participation.

  • Mike Barry – Former Marks & Spencer Director of Sustainable Business, and one of the architects behind the retailer’s award-winning Plan A initiative.

  • Doogie Black – CEO of Climate Sense and UK lead expert on international climate resilience standards.

  • Rosa Foster – Director of the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission, with decades of experience in environmental policy.

  • Camilla Timms – National Trust Sustainability Advisor, with a track record spanning the MOD and the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.

  • Andy Sheppard – Associate Director at Arup, championing sustainable design and mental wellbeing in business.

  • Tom Curtis – Director at 3Keel, connecting business success with healthy natural systems.

  • Louisa Harrison-Walker OBE – CEO of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and award-winning ethical business leader.
