Toni Laites made Love Island history by becoming the first American bombshell to join the cast and went on to win the show with Cach Mercer after wooing the British public

Love Island winner Toni Laites is planning on becoming a television presenter.

The 25-year-old bombshell was the first American contestant to join the UK version of the ITV2 dating show.

After a rocky start with partner Harrison Solomon, she eventually found love with Casa Amor hunk Cach Mercer.

Toni and Cach were crowned champions are receiving 33.5% of the public vote, Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley came second place with 26.2% and Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes in third with 22%.

Speaking about her future at the ITV Reality event, Toni said: “The love has been insane. I never expected it in a million years honestly.

“I think for me this is all new. It’s a whole new world so I’m still trying to find my feet.

“There’s a lot of opportunities at hand but I think presenting is my thing.

“All the love is so incredible so shout out to the UK.”

As a result of winning Love Island 2025, Toni and Cach took home the £50,000 prize pot, which was split evenly between the two winners.

They have since revealed exactly how they’ll be spending their cash and the revelation is certain to win them even more fans.

Toni shared: “I need to pay off my student loans. I want to invest it. I don’t want to go on some crazy shopping spree. Maybe some bingo, I do live in Vegas after all!”

Cach added: “Cost of living crisis, I’ll save it!”

One PR expert has predicted that Toni could quickly become the top-earning star of the summer series.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Rich Wilson said the American could scoop millions through brand deals and TV work.

He said: “It’s very easy to see her as a new regular on our TV screens, and Toni could earn millions through brand partnerships, TV hosting and social partnerships.”
