Leeds United are sweating on the fitness of Jayden Bogle ahead of the new season.
Bogle was a key part of Daniel Farke’s side that won promotion to the Premier League last season, notching six goals and four assists from right-back.
He is expected to step up in the top-flight for the Elland Road outfit, as he is still the senior option for the Whites.
However, he was not involved in Leeds’ 1-1 draw against Villarreal (2 August) due to a hip flexor issue, and an update has been shared on his availability this weekend.

Leeds face AC Milan in Dublin in their final friendly on Saturday (9 August).
Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth claimed that Bogle is understood not to be among the travelling squad for the Aviva Stadium clash.
Sharing an update on the Whites team news in a post on X (9 August), he said: “Understand no sign of [Illan] Meslier in the travelling party but [Lucas] Perri and [Karl] Darlow have made the trip.
“Farke is expected to give updates after the friendly. Bogle (not here, we’re hearing) the main talking point.”

Leeds need Bogle back for the Premier League campaign
Bogle must be back for the start of the season; he is one of the Peacocks’ most important players.
The likes of Sam Byram and Isaac Schmidt can deputise in the right-back position, but they are not of top-flight quality.
Leeds full-back options:
- Jayden Bogle (right-back)
- Sam Bryan (both sides)
- Isaac Schmidt (both sides)
- Gabriel Gudmundsson (left-back)
The former Sheffield United man has been a revelation since he made the move across Yorkshire to Elland Road.
Bogle will likely spend less time in attacking areas this season, with a bigger focus on defensive security, but he proved to be solid in that area in the Championship last season.
If he is out for a significant period, it would be a huge blow for Farke, and the 49ers may have to dip into the market again.
The owners have already brought in seven new players, including the likes of Jaka Bijol, Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach.
The LS11 outfit are a more physical side now heading into the elite level again, but Bogle would be a huge miss and may need to be replaced, depending on the extent of his problem.
In an ideal world, he would have featured against Milan, but he will not, and Farke will have to adapt.
