Tidy house, tidy mind so they say, but try as I might clutter seems to come from nowhere.

You’ll have a sort out and before you know it, it feels like you’re back to square one.

But with a mission to tidy up my toiletries and make-up, I decided to take some inspiration from Sort Your Life Out host Stacey Solomon and buy some storage solutions.

B&M has some great options to choose from and there’s a full range of clear plastic diamond patterned organisers priced from just £2.

The round storage pot is perfect for cotton pads and I’ve used the small square one for cotton buds.

But it’s the 11-section organiser, priced £5, that’s come in most handy, meaning everything has its place.

I’m no longer scrabbling through various bags or throw-everything-in-and-hope-for-the-best tubs to find what I need, so getting ready to go anywhere is much quicker – and calmer. And the fact it’s all clear plastic, means it’s easy to see exactly where I’ve put what.

It fits loads inside it too and has made the world of difference, getting mascara, brushes, deodorant, mousse and moisturisers off surfaces and tidily tucked away.

If you want something a little smaller there’s also a 7-section diamond organiser for just £3, or a 3-section cosmetic organiser for £2.50.

How long it will stay organised is anyone’s guess, but I’ve got more chance of keeping things tidy now that I’ve got some storage solutions to help.

It’s not the only thing that’s helped organise my home either. Last week I shared how Home Bargains’ Zoflora Queen cleaning caddy has proved the ideal solution for carrying my products and cloths from room to room.

There are three sections to it, to store my various products, including, of course, a bottle of Zoflora – the range loved by Cleaning queens Stacey Solomon and Mrs Hinch, who are widely known to be fans of the products.

It’s got enough room for all of my cleaning essentials, is easy to carry around and fits perfectly in the cupboard under my sink.

The Zoflora Queen cleaning caddy costs £4.99 and is available in Home Bargains stores now or on the website here.

B&M’s storage solutions are available in store.
