Memorial races in honour of Fred Drysdale, Wanda Halerwich and Bruce McAleney will all be held on Sunday.
Sunday’s card will also include Leg 3 of both the Distaff Series and the Spirit Series
Rodeo
The Crocus Hill Stampede will go Saturday and Sunday at the grounds near Valleyview.
Main performances will start at 3 p.m. both days.
The rodeo slack is set for Saturday at 8 a.m.
Race Cars
Racing at the Hythe Motor Speedway will start Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
The weekend will include a 30th anniversary party and a salute to local heroes, along with the usual line-up of races.
Rugby
The Grande Prairie Centaurs play Leduc Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Sirens will play the Rockers at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Both games at Macklin Field.
The Sirens’ game will be the team’s home opener after the planned home opener last weekend did not go ahead. The visiting team forfeited because it did not have enough players.
