The event, Severn UK Mega 2025, marked 25 years of the global treasure-hunting game and was the finale of a week-long festival.
The volunteer-led committee from Gloucestershire and Bristol transformed the scout-run site into a vibrant hub with challenges, entertainment and a focus on sustainability.
The celebration featured interactive stalls, hands-on puzzle zones and a variety of geocaching challenges, plus various side events, including campfires, quizzes, bingo and a disco.
Two representatives from Geocaching HQ in Seattle attended, recognising the event’s international significance.
Josh Rowles, chairman of the Severn UK Mega committee, said: “It’s been a long time coming.
“Over the past three years, the support from the geocaching community has been incredible.
“We’re proud to have welcomed so many people to our local area.”
Environmental responsibility was at the core of the event, aligning with several United Nations sustainable development goals.
The wild boar mascot, surfing the Severn Bore, added a whimsical touch, capturing the playful spirit of the event.
