Oasis fans heading to the second show at Edinburgh Murrayfield Stadium tonight (August 9) could be in with a chance of spotting the Red Arrows flying above the gig.
The RAF acrobatic display team is flying in the north west of England this weekend for displays at Blackpool Airshow.
On Saturday, the team performed at the seaside resort at 2pm before heading up to Scotland for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Flypast at 6.15pm.
The Red Arrows, officially known as the Royal Air Force (RAF) Aerobatic Team, are renowned for their precision flying, spectacular aerobatic displays, offering spectators a dazzling display of synchronisation and agility.
However, those not at this weekend’s airshows may still be able to see them if you look up along their planned route at the right time – including those at tonight’s Oasis gig.

The Red Arrows said on X: “You may see the Red Arrows over the Oasis concert at Murrayfield this evening – the stadium is on the team’s expected route over the city, following a flypast for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
“The team should be visible over Scotland’s capital at 1817.”
Oasis made their long-awaited return to Edinburgh last night with the first of three Murrayfield Stadium shows. The band played to a sold out 68,000 capacity crowd on Friday (August 8), marking their first performance in the Scottish capital since 2009.
It is the fourth city of the Oasis Live ’25 tour after starting their run of gigs in Cardiff on July 4, before heading to their home city of Manchester for five nights at Heaton Park, which was followed by five nights at Wembley Stadium in London.

Liam and Noel Gallagher will play to more than 204,000 people at Murrayfield Stadium over the course of three Edinburgh shows.
Those at tonight’s Oasis gig could be in with a chance of seeing the Red Arrows at around 6.17pm tonight, the RAF said.
The stage times for Oasis at Edinburgh Murrayfield were as follows:
- Support from Cast: 6pm
- Support from Richard Ashcroft: 7pm
- Oasis on stage: 8:15pm
Oasis fans could therefore catch a glimpse of the Red Arrows while Cast, led by former La’s bassist John Power, take to the stage.
