Mads Andersen inspired Luton to a 2-0 win over Peterborough at the Weston Homes Stadium to make it six points from six in League One.
Andersen’s header and Jordan Clark’s soft late goal saw the Hatters, relegated from the Premier League and Championship in successive seasons, back up last week’s 1-0 win over AFC Wimbledon.
Twenty minutes in, Christ Makosso picked up the ball just outside the six-yard box from a corner and tried his luck from close range but his effort whistled over the crossbar.
Minutes later, Peterborough had a chance to open the scoring when Bradley Ihionvien broke into the danger area and got a shot away from a tight angle but Josh Keeley managed to bat it away.
Luton found the breakthrough just before the hour mark as George Saville stood up a pinpoint corner into the heart of the box and Andersen was on hand to head in to the back of the net.
The visitors doubled their lead in the 85th minute following some farcical defending from Posh. Goalkeeper Nicholas Bilokapic failed to get a back-pass under control and Nahki Wells closed down and won the ball to set up Jordan Clark, who converted with ease.
