The alteration is a necessary one after United beat Lyon 7-6 on aggregate in our Europa League quarter-final tie, which culminated with that thrilling 5-4 victory in the second leg on Thursday night.
As a result, Ruben Amorim’s Reds will now face Spanish side Athletic Club at the last-four stage, with the second leg in M16 set to be played in the midweek before the West Ham match, on Thursday 8 May.
It means the latter has been pushed back to the Sunday, giving us an extra day to prepare for what will be our penultimate Old Trafford outing of the 2024/25 campaign.
No rearrangement has been made to the Premier League game that follows our European semi-final first leg in Bilbao on 1 May, as the trip to Brentford is already due to be contested three days after, on Sunday 4 May.
